DROP FUNCTION
Description
The DROP FUNCTION statement drops a temporary or user defined function (UDF). An exception will
be thrown if the function does not exist.
Syntax
DROP [ TEMPORARY ] FUNCTION [ IF EXISTS ] function_name
Parameters

function_name
Specifies the name of an existing function. With
TEMPORARY, the name may optionally be qualified withsessionorsystem.session. WithoutTEMPORARY, the name may optionally be qualified with a database (or a catalog and database) and resolves to a persistent function.Syntax:
[ catalog_name. ] [ database_name. ] function_nameFunctions in
system.builtincannot be dropped. -
TEMPORARY
Required to drop a temporary function. Without
TEMPORARY,DROP FUNCTIONonly considers persistent functions. -
IF EXISTS
If specified, no exception is thrown when the function does not exist.
